I had such a great time in my Rubber Stamping class today! I made a few new friends and we did about 18 projects altogether! One of the projects is a stationary box. Below are the instructions for the box in case you missed it in class.

A New Marriage

This is my first attempt at creating digital scrapbook pages from scratch. It’s the start of a “New Marriage” scrapbook template set. Please let me know what you think and how I can make this better.

The beautiful brushes used are from Graphics-Illustrations.com and photography and template design are by me. :)

Software/Hardware used to create this were: Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter Essentials 4, and Wacom Bamboo.

I added my own wedding photos so you could visually see how it would look like. :)

Vacation Memories

Spring time is here! And that means time for vacation plans. Which means taking a lot of photos… which also means lots of scrapbooking. :) Here are some clever ideas on how to preserve your travel memories.

Calendar Scrapbooking Tip

Enjoy easy scrapbooking? Well here’s a tip for those of you who enjoy making scrapbook calendars.

Below are three templates that I thought looked nice. Pick one that you like. Then make any text or color changes, and print it out. Be sure to use archival paper.

2007 Calendar (Word) (Green and blue, Room for Notes)
Photo Calendar (Word) (Room for Photos)
2007 Calendar (Visio) (Nice Colors)

Now embellish your calendar with stickers, photos, and journaling. Mount it on a 12×12 paper, or put it in an 8×11 scrapbook. It’s a nice fun way of keeping track of an entire year without having to spend too much time.

Note: You will need Microsoft Office to use these templates.

Heat Gun

Ahh.. I was playing around with my dolphin stamp, pigment ink and embossing powder yestday. I thought I’d use my hair dryer to melt the powder…. but after minutes of holding the hair dryer, Albert came in and told me it’s not hot enough! So we went to Michael’s later that day to check out the heat guns. It needed like 6500 volts or something… He said if my hair dryer had that kind of power, my hair would catch on fire! Yikes. So much for trying to save money… I need to get a heat gun now. I’ll get it later this week once I get my Michael’s 40% off coupon. :D

Paper Piecing

Now, this is the kind of stuff I usually do without knowing what it’s called! Paper Piecing is when you use paper, piece them together, and make an object for your scrapbook page out of it. Here are a few FREE patterns you can use!

Popup Technique

I was telling Lele about my next scrapbook project. I’ve already drawn out some pages and I’m pretty happy since I’ll have a lot of photos to use. Hopefully it can fill up a whole book. :D The technique I’m going to use is this Popup Page technique. I use to make popup books when I was a kid, and I think it’ll be fun to adapt it to a scrapbook. :D
