Scrapbook Royalty

I had an AMAZING time at the Scrapbook Expo! Simply amazing! I only had a pass to the exhibit area, but that alone kept me very occupied. So many things to buy, make, do, etc.. that I wish I had more hands to do them. :)

I met a lot of wonderful people! Two that I’d like to mention are Elena and Jennifer from Scrapbook Royalty, a wonderful organization that scrapbook for a cause.

Scrapbook Royalty is dedicated to raising money and awareness for “Noble” causes. We hold “Crops of Distinction”, to satisfy your “Royal” scrapbooking desires. 100% of the money raised by participants, silent auctions, and raffles is donated to charities.

Today I had the opportunity of making cards for our troops. These blank cards are sent to our troops, and they can use them to write a little note and send back home. Isn’t that sweet? Organizations that help our troops know that they’re in our thoughts really make me smile. We love you, and thank you for protecting all of us.

Paper Island Waikiki Tour

Before I left Hawaii, I had to go to the second location of Paper Island! And like Jared said, there’s a lot more papers here. I had a great time picking out papers and talking to Francis, the store manager at the Waikiki location. Take a look!

I got the opportunity to visit Paper Island in Oahu. And I met Jared, the store manager. I picked up a lot of great 12×12 paper sets while I was there as well. :D

DIY Scrap with Scott Petti

I found this show called “Scrap” on DIY last week. My husband and I watched a few episodes, and we just found it very interesting, creative, and very entertaining. Scott Petti is the host of the show, and his projects are simply amazing.

Here are some of my favorite projects by him:
-Hollywood Walk of Fame Wall Display
-Underwater Photo Frame
-Taco Invitations

He’s also a designer on The Scrapbook Lounge, one of my favorite TV-pods. :)

Scrapbook Memories TV

While flipping around on my Tivo, I found a new scrapbooking show to record! It’s called Scrapbook Memories. They show a bunch of techniques and projects you can do. It’s not as fancy as DIY Scrapbooking though, but interesting nevertheless.

Collective Journey

My friend at work told me about this wonderful Scrapbook store called Collective Journey, so I had to stop by last night. I did really need something for work from there. :D So last night, we went there 20 minutes before closing time… and I was as happy as a kid in a candy store. teehee. I have to say, 20 minutes is NOT enough time to browse through everything. I still had another side that I didn’t even get to look at.

Anyhow, I got the punch that I needed. We’re giving away promo flashlights at the next conference, so I needed a specific circle size to punch out the logos in.

I did also browse through the wedding stickers… and got a few… ok, a bunch of the Jolee’s I Do Collection. They’re so cute!! Next time, I’m going to give myself at least an hour to shop. :D

StampinUp Winter Mini Catalog

The Stampin Up Winter Mini Catalog is out! I got mine yesterday. :) I love the “Terrific Tags Punch Box” and the “Such a Tweet” stamp set.

I still don’t know too much about stamping. I think the inks I buy are too cheap that they frustrate me. lol They never seem to cover up the entire stamp.. so I get faded ink marks on my paper. When I took that stamping class on campus a few months ago, the inks worked out REALLY well. Quality does matter huh? I forgot what brands were good… most likely Stamping Up inks, and some sort of Archival Ink.
