Everytime I go traveling, I try to stop by local scrapbook stores to pick up a few special things I can’t find at home. Of course, this trip to Hawaii is no exception!

I was unsure about where to start, so I asked on Twitter where the best scrapbook store in Oahu was. @TweetPea sent me a link to Joscie’s “Scrapbooking in Hawaii list” and I couldn’t be more happy! Going down the list, I fell in love with the store named “Pineapple Cove.”

Well, I’m finally at the store, and I have to say, it’s a pretty big place full of scrapbook and crafting goodies! There are tons of paper, stickers, wooden cutouts, albums, diecuts, and much, much more! I picked up a few Hello Kitty Sizzix Diecuts, wooden flowers, and a few other things. I was quite happy! :)

Although the shopping part was fun, the best part was probably meeting ManLe, the store owner of Pineapple Cove. She’s the sweetest and nicest person ever. She was teaching me all kinds of scrapbook techniques and giving me ideas for projects… that believe it or not, I can’t wait to go home to start working on.

I spent hours in the store, just learning about techniques, chatting about scrapbooking, Twitter, and other social media topics. I know staying in a store for a few hours is not something people do on their vacation, but this was a slice of heaven for me. But as for me, I’m more interested in the scrapbooking supplies, and there was A LOT of it. And I love how it’s scattered all over the store in various sections now. It just makes me want to walk around more (as well as throw more things into my cart!)

Here are two videos of me shopping/browsing the store. Nothing too interesting unless you like looking at paper and stickers. ;) Forgot to mention, they’re having their dollar-day sale, so almost everything in the store is on sale!

Well, if I had kids, this would be true. But for now, my friends call me the paparazzi. Funny how I have a camera in my hand also. :)

I was at my favorite scrapbook store again! Yes, Collective Journey! I bought a few things.. and couldn’t resist taking a photo of this. It’s a July display with bbq grill and stuff. Everything on top of the grill, table, etc. are made of paper, ribbons, and lots of adhesives! ;)

Making Memories – Clear Creations – Travel ($10.29) – It’s a small book of transparent overlays, titles, and more. There’s 20 4″x6″ transparent sheets. It’s a bit pricey, but it is perfect for my New York scrapbook.

On my trip to New York, I met up with my friend Cyn who showed me all around Seaport, China Town, Soho, and Little Italy.

As we talked, I learned that she creates stationary and wedding invitations using a Gocco machine. I’ve never heard of Gocco before, but after seeing her work, I think I want one. ;)

Cyn draws all her artwork in Adobe Illustrator, and prints them out on stationary using the Gocco machine. Check out all the beautiful work she has made!

I went to Joann after work tonite with the intention of buying the CuttleBug. It was on “sale” in store for $89.99. I think that’s the regular price though! I could get it online for $53.99, so I didn’t buy it tonight. I might wait for a coupon… or end up getting it online!

I couldn’t leave the store empty handed, so I went browsing around. I was so inspired this weekend, that I’m determine to do more stamping projects. So I picked up two packs of clear stamps (I love these by the way!) and a clear block. All on sale for 40% off. Woot. Now I just need to find my pigment inks… I love using embossing powder.
