I’ve seen this cute tool all over the DIY channel. It’s the new Xyron Design Runner. Basically, it’s a tool that allows you to print fonts, wordart, borders, and designs for your pages on any surface — including wood and fabric.
Has anyone ordered one yet? I’d like to know how well this works, and how much do extra designs/fonts cost? It does seem a little pricey for an advance stamp.

IT’S AMULTI-PURPOSE DESIGN. YOU CAN USE IT FOR PAPER AS WELL AS FOR WOOD . THAT’S GREAT. BUT , IT DEPENDS UPON IT’S COST AND AVAIALIBILITY.

I reviewed the design runner on my website. If you are interested. I have to say that there is a learning curve for the machine. And I have yet to master it.

I have seen a demop and also watched a demo in Chicago at the most recent scrapbook expo. I have to say that the price for the replacement ink and other design “cartridges” is OUTRAGEOUS! After some thought, I realize that I can stamp on wood, ribbon, twill, etc if I so desire, and the price of the nifty little gadget would never equal how much I would use it. JMHO, but I think it’s way too pricey a gadget.

I liked the concept a lot. It would make reading more easy and comprehensible. The best part is the shape and size of this unique tool, easy to carry anywhere and everywhere. Hope its affordable.

Hello, It is something you can not appreciate until you have it. It is an over size stamp but much better. You can stamp on wood and fabric as well as paper. Each design disk is about $29.99 but you get about 40 designs. And the ink cartridge lasts and lasts and last. It comes in red, green and black. Any design on the disk can be made into a border. So this is a really good tool. So if you were reluctant to try stamping because of the mess and clutter, this is a great machine. I use it to make place settings, tree decorations, lable presents and much much more.
