I made these Easter gift baskets for my boyfriend’s family for Easter — one for his aunt and cousins, and one for his parents and brother.
These are definitely fun to make. Here are the steps on how to make them.
Supplies you will need:
A gift basket – small or big, up to you.
Cellophane – enough to wrap your basket up.
Goodies – things to stuff you basket with!
Easter Grass – gives color to your basket
Easter Eggs – more color
Candy – gotta love candy!
Ribbon – any color you like, thin, but not too thin.
Scissors – to cut the cellophane
First, put all your goodies in the basket. Color grasses first. Then lay out the goodies (cookies, candy, easter eggs, etc) how you like it. You may want to use tape (or string, ribbon, etc.) to secure objects in the position you want them to be.
Put the basket on top of the cellophane, and begin pulling up each side of the cellphane. Start with the front of the basket, then the back, then work to the sides until you have the cellophane in your fist. Get a long piece of ribbon and tie the top. Don’t worry, it’ll look a little bit messy on the top at first.
Once you tie the cellophane together, use the scissors to curl the ribbon. Then cut the excess cellophane on top off so that it looks nice. Add more ribbon if you like, and viola, your gift basket is done!
