This was my latest project. I wanted to get the hang of painting things, so I started off with these items. The wood flower is a ‘wood chuncky’ that you can get at Michaels for 77 cents. The paints came in an array of colors for 66 cents a bottle. And a simple brush was 39 cents.

I think painting is much cheaper than scrapbooking, but hey, I’m still only a beginner. I started painting one flower red, wash my brush, and then the green on both, wash my brush, and then violet on the other flower, and then brown.

It came out nicely don’t you think? Now all I need is a small brush so I can do the ‘fine print.’ I want to put names on the pots, and maybe create some sort of ‘wood garden’ to put on my shelf. ;)
My next painting projects will either be those cabinets I posted earlier, or painting clay pots for a mother’s day gift. :)
