I bought my first ’scrapbooking book’ today. It’s called “Better Scrapbooking” by Vanessa-Ann. I was flipping through it and wasn’t sure if I should buy it or not. There were a few good pages, and I didn’t think it’d hurt to buy since it was only $3 after the Target sale. ;) Plus, I need to learn some mainstream techniques. Everything I’ve been doing before, I’ve ‘invented.’ Like on Saturday, I learned that I should use a gluestick rather than the Elmer’s school glue to paste my scrap pages down. I’ll be posting techniques I learned from this book, so stay tuned. :) Are there any books that you would recommend?

I loved “Scrapbooking Life’s Little Treasures” by Rebecca Sower and “Scrapbooking Secrets” and “Creative Sketches for Scrapbooking” both by Becky Higgins.
Rebecca concentrates more on journaling while Becky has a colorful, classic style.
Oh, there’s also a book called ‘Simple Scrapbooks’ by Stacy Julian. (There is now a magazine by that name, but this book came first and has lots of ideas for topics and themes.)
Hope this helps :)
