I remember my first trip to Michael’s… I was trying to buy a few things to get started with scrapbooking. A new store opened up right after Halloween of last year, and I couldn’t wait to go. When I got there, I was so happy to see all the sales!
I got a few of those shape scissors. They were only 75 cents each! I also got paper — you can never buy enough color paper. There’s also stickers in there, and Christmas stuff that I got for under $1 each. The best time to buy is definitely when there’s a sale going on. And there’s always a 40% (or even 50% off coupon if you’re lucky!) in the Sunday newspaper. My scrapbook supply collection has grown in the past few months, but these are what I started with at first. :)

You need embellishments! I just love the jolee’s range (I’m only a new scrapper but I’m so addicted already)… so many cute things: http://www.craftcatalog.com//merchant.ihtml?id2983&step=2, the scrabble letter stickers look neat.
